Wanshu Tang was born and raised in Sichuan, China. A self-taught filmmaker, actor, and editor, she plans to pursue formal studies in film abroad in the near future. Her directorial debut, A Night Over All Nights, was selected and awarded at several film festivals, including the Rome Prisma Film Awards. Anything Through Tears is her second film as a director, in which she also serves as the lead actor, producer, production designer, and editor. Wanshu Tang seeks to continually explore the spiritual predicaments of modern individuals in her works, allowing genuine tragedy to emerge from stories laced with absurdity. She hopes that filmmaking will become not merely an art form, but a way of life.
