Julian Doan

BIOGRAPHIE

Julian Doan is a Vietnamese-American writer/director inspired by life's mundane absurdities, especially amidst death and grief. His short film RASPBERRY premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival and was released on Showtime and Vimeo Staff Picks. In 2025 he wrote and directed his latest short film LONG's LONG LOST & MINI MART as part of Indeed/Hillman Grad's “Rising Voices” Season 5 program. He is in development on his first feature film HALF SWEET, which was selected for The 2021 Gotham Week Project Market. He is also a proud member of the Editors Guild. Recent credits include HBO's THE SYMPATHIZER, THE IDOL, and IN TREATMENT. He loves rock climbing, video games, and is a recently converted cat fanatic. Seriously, no one told him about cats.
