SYNOPSIS

The film was made in 1972 and forbidden during the dictatorship. It is devoted to Petru Rares, the most prominent personality of the Romanian Renaissance in Moldavia in the 16th century, an enlightened ruler, whose opinions on freedom, independence and honesty are very topical.
