February 1968: The Cinémathèque Française is on strike and outside people are demonstrating against war in Vietnam, while two editors are finishing work on "Stolen Kisses". The echoing of the film in their personal lives, and of the events into the film, weave life and cinema together, in a manner that was dear to Truffaut, whose presence is indirectly felt in this loyal fiction.
