In this film, Alfred Machin, the nature film specialist of his day, brings together two themes that had fuelled his work up to that point : the beauty of his documentaries (Chasse à la panthère, 1909) and the comedy of his first fiction films (Mamdame Babylas aime les animaux, 1910).
