SYNOPSIS

A beautiful noblewoman, Xenia Grigoryevna Petrovna, is married to an officer, but their marriage comes to a tragic end. When widowed, Xenia cuts off her hair, gives away her inheritance to beggars and puts on her husband's uniform.
