SYNOPSIS
For two generations, the powerful Peraldi family has tried in vain to take over the olive tree orchard that belongs to a family of shepherds, the Veronesi. Santa, the young Veronesi widow, is tired of the bloody quarrels and goes against the family and makes a peace offering.
