SYNOPSIS

Memories and newspaper headlines invade Jeff's fevered mind. Looking for meaning of "the matchbox", Jeff becomes an American ill in Moscow, a cheerful rocket scientist, an alleged killer and his guilt-ridden brother, a marooned Russian cosmonaut, an obtuse theatre director.
