SYNOPSIS

Mathieu and Elena - a Frenchman and a Russian woman - have breakfast in their country house. Through Russian melodies and French words, they attempt to find a common language. The telephone rings: Mrs Chénier, their elderly neighbor, is looking for her husband, René.
