SYNOPSIS

La Toupie fantoche (Marionette Top) is the name of an optical toy invented by Émile Reynaud (a precursor of the cinema) at the beginning of the century. In my opinion, the whirlpool of a prism where animated images spring forth reflects the spirit of the film.
