SYNOPSIS

A young woman, recovering from an attempted suicide, arrives in a town caught in the middle of a war. She lands a job as a waitress in a local tavern. Battling with her heroin addiction, Jeanne befriends an author who has fallen out of favour, but Fate has other plans in store for them.
