SYNOPSIS

On an island in the middle of Lake Maggiore in Italy, Bianca, a young diabetic woman is alone, disoriented and terrorized by a hypoglycemic crisis which is about to consume her. After trying unsuccessfully to get help from her friends and family, Bianca discovers she has a new fundamental reference point in her life: her doctor. Often the greatest suffering for a patient is that of feeling like an “island”.
