SYNOPSIS

Tom, a young Romanian engineer, has been living in Paris for eight months. He dreams of settling there, but he has been laid off from his first job, and his attempts to find another have failed. Unemployed, homeless and broke, he cannot muster the courage to tell his wife, Maria, who lives in Romania. Instead, in the letters he writes her, he invents the ideal life he would have wanted.
