During the Occupy Wall Street protests in October 2011, documentary filmmaker Jem Cohen regularly visited the movement’s headquarters and shot video footage that he gradually published in the form of a series of short films shown before the main feature at New York’s IFC Center; they were also made available online. The immediate, uncommented impressions of events on Wall Street are edited with a sense for rhythm, and the dynamics are defined by the film’s soundtrack.
