When author Anthony Doerr develops fictional characters, context plays a major role. "Writer," a meditation on Doerr in his own time and place, offers glimpses of his internal and external landscapes. In April, 2015, Doerr was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his novel, All the Light We Cannot See.
