SYNOPSIS

In Iraqi Kurdistan, the ideological response to the rise of ISIS is the resurrection of a pre-Islamic religion, zoroastrianism. In what some Kurds call the ‘preservation’ of their culture and a return to their ethnic roots, this documentary will explore the questions and accusations surrounding the rise of this ancient religion and it’s true purpose and place in Kurdish society.
