SYNOPSIS

The dearth of doctors is spreading. There are only three practicing doctors left in the whole of the Eure river area. And that means the Damville pharmacist must make do. Crippled by debts and separated from the family he keeps far from the devastated area, the poor man feels desperately alone on this Christmas eve.
