SYNOPSIS

After a filmmaker discovers a trove of unseen VHS tapes recording her migration from China to the US in the 1980s, she embarks on an emotional journey to watch them for the first time. Weaving past and present, THE ORIGIN TAPES is a meditation on memory and migration and how we build our own stories.
