SYNOPSIS

MAELSTROM is an intimate, poetic-narrative about Anna, a Korean-American teenager, struggling with grief and growing up after the death of her mom. The film centers around a Korean family in the US and explores themes of grief, femininity, immigration, identity, family, and growing up.
