SYNOPSIS

Dealing with the themes of courage, identity, loss and self-acceptance, this coming of age story focuses on sixteen-year-old Cecilia, the youngest child in a close-knit Congolese family living in Yeoville, Johannesburg. Cecilia is on a journey of self-discovery, and intends to live her life on her own terms. She must find the courage to live up to her truth, even if it means going against her mother’s wishes.
