SYNOPSIS

South Africa has been plagued with a sordid past of institutionalised racial injustice for over a hundred years. Despite having being a democracy for twenty-four years, racial bias still has a significant effect on people's - including teenagers - interactions. Thandi Ngema is the first, and only, black teenager to have ever been invited to a girls’ sleepover at her best friend’s house.
