SYNOPSIS
On March 12, 2019, Goya's "Portrait of Fernando VII" (1814) arrives from Santander to the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias to remain for several months in front of another painting of his, the "Portrait of Jovellanos, with the San Lorenzo beach in the background" (1780-83). The installation process and the many layers of the paintings prompt a reflection on past and present layers of Spanish political history.
