SYNOPSIS
PROTESTE ! ("Protest!") is an art video about the everyday struggle of street workers in Senegal. The never-ending movements of these everyday warriors are sublimated by Krump dancing; the tension of these movements is expressed in the dance "battles". Dakar, a changing and singular city, devours the bodies of those who wear themselves out to make it through, and questions the nature of the connection between humans and cities.
