SYNOPSIS

On December 11, 2013, Víctor Álvarez and nine young men were arrested amid a joint security operation led by the local police of Veracruz, Mexico. Their whereabouts remain unknown to this day. Perla, Víctor's mother, has been looking for him since then. OPEN THE EARTH portrays her painful and tireless fight to access truth and justice.
