SYNOPSIS

Returning to Chechnya for the first time in 18 years after the war, I wanted to make a film that touches upon my memories. But what I found was a broader tissue of longing for a past and future, embedded in different spaces and people than the ones I remembered. A semi-fictional narrative began to develop between the filmmaker and his characters. Reality and fiction, memories and desires.
