SYNOPSIS

ALINA is a story about a girl used as a drug mule, who has been a victim of sex trafficking since she was twelve. As its name shows, a mule is a beast of burden, but it is also stubbornly resilient and hopeful. Alina survives her daily abuse moment by moment, by having a rich inner life of fantasies and joyful memories. As she's a survivor, she - reluctantly - agrees to recruit a new girl, Jenny, to be another sex trafficking victim, which will reduce the number of men she will have to have sex with.
