SYNOPSIS

Werner survived World War II buried in the rubble as a child but he found a way to manage the traumatic experience with the help of a horse. In the same way as the white horse is a symbol of freedom, Werner’s life is a way to look at post-war Germany. W.G. Seebald said that the coming to terms with the suffering was the real hidden secret of post war Germans.
