SYNOPSIS

Set in the cultural frontier zone of the Hindu Himalaya, AVATARA explores the lived religion of goddess worship in a remote Himalayan valley. Quick to anger and ever-thirsty for sacrifices, the goddess haunts her followers in dreams and rituals, demanding complete submission in return for her vision - and the promise of a transient, short-lived salvation.
