SYNOPSIS

Mixing spoken word, VJing, archival footage and electropop songwriting, IN LOVE WITH THE ENEMY is a performative essay by artist Nat Ya. Alternating gravity and playfulness, she represents the absurd pull of war through conflicting images of desire and destruction. The lone soldier longs for his attacker to strike, the oppressed falls in love with the oppressor... yet cannot give into peace.
