SYNOPSIS

Loosely drawn from the life of Hilda Geissmann-Curtis (1890-1988), an amateur naturalist who was specialised in wild orchids, the film fictionalises this story as a metaphor for ecological contemplation. Exploring both the foreignness and familiarity of the Australian rainforest, the film was set and produced near the director's childhood home, allowing for a mnemonic reflection of the environment.
