SYNOPSIS

Thirty-eight-year-old Azriel is a seasoned worker at a Chevra Kadisha - a burial society that performs the Jewish rituals - and has to deal with a loss of his own as his wife's pregnancy has been abruptly terminated. As Jewish law strictly forbids any physical contact between husband and wife in this situation, it opens a chasm between them, thus threatening their already fragile state. Besides, Azriel is left with a job that seems to be submerging his life.
