SYNOPSIS

In early 1937, Norwegian photojournalist Gerda Grepp travels to Spain seeking a direct experience of the civil war. Welcomed by the international atmosphere of Madrid, she joins the writer and journalist Arthur Koestler to learn about the reality of the front, but the situation in Malaga, besieged by Franco's army, is much worse than they could imagine.
