SYNOPSIS

Through fragmented montage Embers makes an elliptical portrait of the accidental death of a child by a lost bullet in the countryside of Mexico. It follows characters trough brief episodes of their life creating a unity of mood and tone. Mixing the poetic with the political it is a bold attempt to explore the possibilities of cinema to analyze violence without recurring to the spectacular tropes.
