SYNOPSIS

Using the therapeutic form of family constellations, At the feet of my mother unpacks the psychological dynamics of parentification - the little known but widespread phenomenon of parent-child role reversal. With a close focus on Lucien's face, we follow his emotional journey as he moves through long-supressed emotions towards relief, finally showing himself to the world.
