SYNOPSIS

Downstream, a poetic documentary, follows the Thames River downstream, from London’s docklands to the sea. River boats move across the static frame, travelling in tandem with the visual and the aural rhythms and the lapping currents of the river. The mood is slow, contemplative and the movement choreographed by the interaction of the different types of boats and the river's tides.
