The paper is blank. Max, the cartoonist, is trying to make a story that he has in his head come true. He looks for and develops references, creates outlines, makes sketches, reflects, traces, rehearses... He has his finger on the pulse to find the tone, the measure, the narrative thread and the precise drawing.
