SYNOPSIS

Mr. Bellier, a landowner, has fallen for Edmond, a 12-year-old slave. He shares his botanical knowledge with him and hopes to discover the secret behind the fertilization of the Vanilla plant. After capturing a runaway slave, Edmond at last sees his own condition clearly. He now has only one desire: to unlock the secret of the Vanilla plant himself in order to change his destiny.
