SYNOPSIS

While playing kabaddi in school, the uniform shirt of 11 years old Ram gets torn. His widow mother Malati tries to borrow money for a new shirt from her employer but gets in an argument with his wife. Malati faces the village elders for her alleged misconduct and is shunned conditionally. Making matters worse, her dead cow needs to be buried before it starts stinking.
