SYNOPSIS

Left to their own devices rather than abandoned in a forest, Hansel and Gretel take us through the tales they grew up with; they're idealised tales in the memory of a father, who lives alone with his two children. We don't come across any gingerhouse but this story still deals with food, poverty, getting lost and eating children.
