SYNOPSIS

Tourém is a frontier village at the border between Portugal and Spain. It has a reputation as the “smugglers’ nest”. Many villagers who are still inhabitants were involved in the business in the past. They smuggled oranges, olive oil, and other groceries due to the shortage of goods at that time. They risked their lives for a simple living.
