SYNOPSIS

A musical prodigy, spiritual scholar, town grio, Penny has been searching and adapting for over nine decades in Big Sur. As one-third of the trio, The Overlapping Haloes, Penny shares the poetry of Hafiz, who, like her, increasingly finds humor in her pursuit of a union with the divine. Shot over the course of year, witness Penny reflect on life, improvise on the keys, and meditate on death.
