SYNOPSIS

Bitter Weeds follows mischievous 16-year-old Liam after he is sent to look after his dementia-suffering grandmother Patricia who unravels as she repeatedly mistakes him for her cheating late husband. It's a dark twist on the coming-of-age drama about caring for the ailing, generational trauma, the conflict between personal and national traumas and the cruelty of immaturity.
