Pablo, painter of Spanish origin, adopted by one of the most beautiful cities in France, Marseille, lives in a small studio on Rue Breteuil, between Notre Dame de la Garde and the famous Vieux Port. He spends most of his days at the Bar des ARTS located in the Estaque district in the 16th arrondissement of Marseille, at the corner of Rue des scaphandriers, place where people meet numerous artists, writers, philosophers, painters, musicians and master storytellers. The smells of elixir and the magic cigarettes of SRY, a young Hindu musician student from Sarangi, punctuate the artistic atmosphere of this place where the artist will meet his muse who will become the source vital to his inspiration. A constellation of artistic expressions, paintings, photos, videos, drawings illustrate the story which, transcribed in full on the screen and supported by a voice-over with a musical background, illustrates the perfect love between the two beings. ART at the crossroads is multiple!.......it is the cement of the love existing between PABLO and his muse. But one day his sweetheart suddenly tells him that she no longer loves him and that she is leaving him. Disoriented and on the verge of despair, PABLO loses all sources of inspiration. Although he did not return to the Bar des Arts for two long years, he thinks that his survival artistic through his artist friends. He thinks about them again, in particular about SRY, the young Hindu musician, whom he decides to find. The music of the sarangi, audible on the staircase of the building where he enters, makes him smile again and hope, he knows that he will find his friend. Love lost…friendship found…. SRY welcomes him with open arms. The return to the Bar des ARTS…. den of artistic creation, is only a matter of time! The artist’s brushes waltz and twirl again, his inspiration returns. ART is always at a crossroads!....... it is now the cement of existing friendship between PABLO and SRY. The art of cinema completes this story of love and friendship: “Cinema is so similar to other arts; if there are eminently literary, there are also theatrical characteristics, a philosophical aspect, attributes borrowed from painting, sculpture, music” AKIRA KUROSAWA, famous Japanese filmmaker, director, producer, screenwriter and editor.
