SYNOPSIS

Xu Rui is in the process of divorce, with the sole desire to secure the custody of her son. During a kindergarten event, she witnesses her son being bullied by a bratty boy named Tuantuan. Quick to anger and with guilt of neglect, she hits the boy out of impulse. Not thinking she's at fault initially, Xu Rui must face the repercussions of the incident rippling around her normal life, even putting her at risk of losing the custody battle. Unexpectedly lucky for Xu Rui, there is no concrete evidence substantiating the "alleged" violence at the police station. Xu Rui confronts Tuantuan's mother with mixed emotions, only to see another mother in distress; both remain speechless. The incident is far from resolved for the children. Tuantuan is still angry and rages against Xu Rui with a toy gun in his hands. Seeing herself in Tuantuan, Xu Rui finally recognizes the roots of this fear-turned-anger as she reconciles with the boy and herself, firmly embracing Tuantuan in her arms.
