"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal" (Jefferson). This founding, yet undeniably false, affirmation of the United States of America, gave rise to other assertions, no less bold and seductive, such as: "The Cause of America is the Cause of all Mankind" (Paine). Today, we're perhaps entitled to turn the question around: What if the bankruptcy of all mankind.
