SYNOPSIS

Like a jazz musician “playing” the camera, Johannes Hammel adapts the Orpheus myth in free form. With surreal and comedic scenes, found footage, and playful references to cinema, Family Portraits undergoes numerous metamorphoses that repeatedly refer to the fine line between life and death.
