SYNOPSIS

In a remote town of southwestern China, a middle school boy, who has always felt like an outsider, longs to be part of the group. Just as he desperately tries to show his courage to everyone, an impulsive act leads to a major mistake with his peers. The sudden mishap shatters the team, causing them to scatter like monkeys when a tree falls. The boy becomes a scapegoat and is once again ostracized by the group. Alone and lost, he finds himself at a crossroads, unsure of what lies ahead.
