Love conquers all...even death. This is the idea explored in Beti. Beti means daughter in Urdu (the main dialect of Pakistan) and Hindi (the main dialect of India). Beti is a story about loss, grief and acceptance. It follows the journey of Neha Ridhi, a woman who has just experienced the loss of her mother -- a woman with whom she shared a pained, complicated relationship marked by generational trauma. Suddenly faced with a lifetime of unanswered questions and unfulfilled needs, Neha comes to understand that though her mother fell short in many ways, her love was always pure, and she truly did do the best she could under the circumstances.
