SYNOPSIS

What does it mean to grow up in Germany with Vietnamese roots? While shopping in an Asian supermarket, the director tries to get to the bottom of this question. She skates between the shelves and thinks about what she has in common with her cousin. At the checkout, she prefers to speak German instead of Vietnamese. In the role of the child, she asks herself the question: How can I establish a connection to Vietnam and ultimately to my own parents?
