SYNOPSIS

When Vincent objects to his friends stealing a flower-decorated bicycle during a night out in Amsterdam, he is abandoned whilst sleeping on a ferry with it by his friends. With the goal of finding the rightful owner again, Vincent sets out despite having the fearful feeling that he is being pursued by a creature that is in the canals. Vincent tries to be guided by the striking figures he encounters in his path, but each of these turns out to have their own gains in mind. When one of these figures throws him for bait for the creature that seems to have been following him all night, he is narrowly rescued by Mies, the owner of the flower bike. Together with her, he tries to get away from this crazy world, but when the two cannot agree on a plan of action, she too leaves him behind. Lonely and more lost than ever, Vincent encounters a final figure. Louis speaks in riddles, Vincent, cautiously, strikes up a conversation with him anyway and the riddles turn out to be wise words. Louis explains to the stuck Vincent that even though we cannot find our way back, we should not let our fear of the unknown stop us from moving on. Louis then disappears as quickly as he appeared. When Vincent then decides to walk on, he does so confidently and without fear.
